North Carolina-based chain Bitty & Beau’s Coffee recently announced plans to open an Athens location at 1540 Lumpkin St. this summer, but the bigger news is who they’re looking to hire.
A self-described “human rights movement disguised as a coffee shop,” Bitty & Beau’s employs more than 120 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD), and will be holding a hiring fair at the Classic Center on June 19.
