Construction is underway on the Stevens Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Winston-Salem.
It’s expected to take two years to renovate the historic theatre, and that could cause problems for the coffee shop next door; with no performances or shows at the Stevens Center, thousands of people will not be visiting downtown.
Bitty and Beau’s Coffee has already seen fewer customers coming into the shop. Plus, construction crews have put up fencing in front of the Stevens Center which blocks a portion of the sidewalk leading to the coffee shop.
